(Moshe) Daniel Levine, Director of Jewish Student Life
Daniel Levine is from San Diego, California where he spent the first 18 years of his life. He attended UCLA where he double majored in Jewish Studies and Cognitive Science graduating Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa, and continued on at UCLA to receive a Master’s in Jewish Studies. During his time at UCLA, Daniel was very involved in Hillel, intramural sports, campus interfaith groups, and student media. At that same time, Daniel was studying for and received Rabbinical Ordination from YPS. Daniel is excited to move to his third city in Southern California and give back to the Hillel and wider Orange County Jewish community! When not at Hillel, you can catch Daniel discussing or writing about Jewish philosophy, going on a hike, or rock climbing.
Shmuel Avramov, Israel Fellow, Orange County Hillel
Shmuel Avramov is from Ramlah, Israel and is excited to be in America for the first time ever! When he was 18 years old, he joined the IDF, and served in the infantry for almost 6 years, eventually being released as a captain. After that, Shmuel went to the Technion studied Mechanical Engineering for the past 4 years, specializing in robotics and control system. During his University studies, Shmuel was the chairman of the student’s committee for 2 years, and after that he was the director of social life in the Technion for the next 2 years. In his free time Shmuel helped prepare boys and girls from Christian and Druze communities for the IDF.
